MIP Expungement

The court systems and police agencies have been cracking down on MIP cases beginning in 2005.  This was due to a federal grant for party patrols. In Michigan, you are allowed to have one conviction set aside five years after conviction as long as it meets certain criteria.  There is a battle brewing over whether or not an MIP can be expunged since it appears on a minor’s driving record.
